Day 5 more silly laws still in force

This another day when I started looking at some of the stupidest laws still in force. It would be good if others could post their findings to myself or make comments, I would be grateful for a response. Below are some more laws the weird and wonderful:

1. It is illegal to set a mousetrap in California unless you have a hunting licence.

2. Driving around a roundabout 3 times if lost, constitutes a driving offence in the U.K.

3. Letting a stranger use your toilet is a criminal offence in Scotland according to law passed in 1791.

4. In Finland Donald Duck comics were once banned because he never wore any trousers.

day 4 what constitutes a stupid law

Since the 1700's many laws have not been repealed and are still in the statute book. In this the 21st Century they are still passing laws that are to my mind stupid and go against all the principles people fought wars for to give us a freedom of choice. This does not mean that their is no sense in them but they take away our freedom of choice or our rights to be an individual with a choice to make our own decisions instead of having to have it made for us. My pet hates in regards to laws that take away our choices, just look at the No Smoking rules or not being allowed to chastise our children what is this all about, what choice do we have? We should be allowed to vote on these laws instead of having them passed by beauracrats who don't live in the real world.

Below are a couple of more Archaic Laws:

1. Placing a postage stamp of the Queen ( or King ) upside down is considered treason.

1. In New York it is illegal to jump from a tall building, this is punishable by death.

In justice we have had to be subservant with Archaic Laws as well as those that uphold it. I f you think of all the wars, deaths, injustice, persecution caused by Archaic Laws is it not about time that all these stupid laws were repeales. Here is some more weird laws still in force.



1. It is illegal for a bottle of home made wine to be offered as a tombola prize at a village fete unless the organisers obtain a liquor licence.



2. It is still legal for a liquor licence to be granted without the views of the local residents being taken into account.

More weird laws DAY2

There are more wierd laws in the world than you can imagine that are still in force. Check these ones out and feel free to comment and send any info. about Archaic Laws.

Example:

1. It is illegal to commit suicide as this constitutes a capital crime.

2. It is illegal to be drunk on a licensed premises ( pub or bar )

3. It is illegal to eat mince pies on Christmas Day.

LEGAL ONES:

1. It is still legal to buy an alcoholic drink and give it to child as young as 5
to drink in a beer garden.

2. In York it is still legal on Sundays to shoot a Scotsman on a sunday with a bow and arrow.

Stupid Archaic Laws

This is my first try at a blg. The subject is in reference to Archaic Laws.
Any comments, suggestions or advise are welcome, and any information you have wether it be photos or drawings they would be most welcome. Below are two examples on Archaic Laws please feel free to comment.

Examples that are still illegal:

1. Two ex-cons to go shopping together in a supermarket if it sells alcohol.

2. Two prostitutes to have a drink together in a pub but one can drink on her own.
